About Us

Our staff includes career guides and former park biologists that have an unmatched knowledge of Yellowstone’s wildlife. They will be able to provide a unique insight into the natural world, and the animals that call this park home. Each of our guides is passionate about topics ranging from large carnivores, bison, elk, flora, geology, history, and so much more!

On our tours, we will offer you a personalized experience aboard one of our fleet vehicles. Here we can offer public or private expeditions designed specifically for your group. We provide optics, including binoculars and scopes, that will help you get the best view of any animals we might see. If you want to experience more of the park, we highly recommend booking one of our hiking tours. On these trips, we will cater to your group’s specific skill levels and needs.

Are you ready to explore the wild and experience the wonders of Yellowstone with us?

Our Team

Co-founder & Guide

Dylan Sanborn

Dylan grew up in the front range of Colorado. As a kid he was always fascinated with nature, wildlife, and hiking. He holds a B.S. in Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology from Colorado State University. Dylan’s career journey led him to various wildlife research and management programs across the United States. Notable experiences include working as a biologist at Haleakala National Park in Hawaii, for Georgia DNR, and in Yellowstone National Park. In Yellowstone, he served as a year-round bird, wolf, and cougar field technician for 5 years. While wildlife research and conservation has always been a cornerstone of Dylan’s career, he has found a passion for public outreach and guiding. Motivated by his passion for wildlife education, he co-founded Wildland Expeditions & Tours with his partner, Tyler.

Co-founder & Guide

Tyler Greenly

Tyler grew up in the southern Colorado rockies. He is a lifelong birder and wildlife enthusiast. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Colorado State University. Tyler started his career with notable research on boreal toads in Rocky Mountain National Park and conducting bird surveys across several states in the U.S. His background in research and passion for conservation led him to a career in outdoor education and guiding. He has worked as a wildlife guide and naturalist in Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Parks for almost a decade. He found that this career path was his calling, and he wanted to create a company that helped share his knowledge and enthusiasm of the natural world with the general public. This is where Tyler created and co-founded Wildland Expeditions & Tours with his partner, Dylan.

Paw-ject Manager

Ranger

Ranger started his journey with Dylan and Tyler in 2023 as a rescue dog. He came from Idaho Falls and was adopted at 3 months old in Jackson, WY from a local shelter. He grew up fetching sticks, swimming, and hiking the trails of Wyoming. After hard work and dedication, he was promoted to the Paw-ject Manager at Wildland Expeditions and Tours. He hopes to bring optimism and endless tail wages as part of his role.
